1965 MGB 1965 narrow-tunnel MGB Roadster

A 1965 narrow-tunnel MGB Roadster built by Mark Hope, with FIA Period F (1962-1965) papers valid until 31 December 2032 and a UK V5. The car has been prepared and run by Oselli Motorsport over the last year.

The engine has had a full rebuild and has completed one 30-minute qualifying session and one one-hour race - circa 1.5 hours of running - since completion. The gearbox has been refurbished and has zero running hours since the work was completed.

The car was raced by Richard Hammond in the inaugural Generations Trophy at Silverstone in October 2025 and has continued to race during the 2026 season with Motor Racing Legends.

I had the engine out on its first event last weekend. Caledonian rally one day in Kielder forests, second day in the Scottish borders. Only 3 1300 entered so we were amalgamated with 1600. We got a strong result 3rd in class 32nd overall from 75 starters, 1st 1300. I didn't go much above 5000 as still only managed to get about 500 miles on it.

David, Just to let you know that since you fitted the 1950 Fast Road Stage 2 engine my roadster has been utterly transformed. The throttle response is brilliant and coupled with that uprated front roll bar the cornering is much more assured. Normally I put her away at this time of year but no i'm having too much fun right now. Thank you for all the advice and the whole process from start to finish was faultless. Best Regards 0

Hi David, I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the work carried out on my MG. I can already feel the difference in performance with just the basic tune, & it's nice not to look at that marked up windscreen. I replaced my rocker cover with the one from Oselli. Order placed with Claire's advice, it was delivered to me with moderate shipping costs. With its glued cork seal, it enhances the engine of my MGA. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

Overdrive was sluggish and now engages almost instantly, car is starting very easily, also it seems to be running better overall. Looks like the new wiring looms made a lot of difference.
